The Banning Unified School District has been serving the needs of children in the San Gorgonio Pass for over 100 years. It currently operates 4 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 comprehensive high school, and 1 continuation high school. It also offers independent study and adult education opportunities. The District educates approximately 5,000 students enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Mt. San Jacinto College is the community college for the Pass area. The district’s 1,700-square-mile service area stretches from Cabazon to Temecula and takes in communities like Idyllwild, Anza, Lake Elsinore, Perris and more. MSJC has campuses in Banning, San Jacinto and Menifee, and a education complex in Temecula.
